CMC are hiring! We have a permanent opportunity for a Process Improvement Specialist to join our New Business team, based in our Chatswood, Sydney office. Please note that we operate onsite working and would require you to come into our Chatswood office 5 days per week.

Please note that this role is only open to Sydney based candidates with full working rights (e.g. Citizen/Permanent Resident).

ROLE PURPOSE

Responsible for identifying processes that need changing and articulating the requirements to a business analysts and the wider development team.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Has ownership for the new client account opening process, including reviewing applications to ensure all aspects are completed and correct.
  • Has ownership for ensuring all account documentation meets regulatory requirements. This includes KYC, AML and appropriateness and sanctions checks.
  • Drive operational improvements and efficiencies within the team whilst maintaining a high standard of quality and service.
  • Effectively deal with internal queries relating to the account opening process with a focus on getting it right first time every time.
  • Reading and complying with our policies and procedures as they relate to your employment.
  • Provide pro-active input and expertise to in drafting and maintaining relevant team policies and procedures; frameworks and tools including account opening processes.
  • Ensure data integrity in all systems and compliance requirements more widely are met.
  • Take ownership and accountability; and work collaboratively with other PMCT teams to drive a client centric and service oriented culture across PCMT, putting the client at the heart of everything we do.
  • Proactively identify and realise relevant opportunities to promote our products and services with our high value.
  • Researching and analysing existing operational processes using techniques such as data analysis, observation, interviews, policy reviews, etc.
  • Identifying and sourcing benchmark information for comparison, where relevant.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identifying potential compliance/legal/safety issues present in operational processes, and determining relevant legislation and/or regulations.
  • Conducting reviews to determine ROI following process design/redesign implementation.
  • Providing reports on findings at all stages to stakeholders.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Scrupulous attention to detail
  • Experience of working in an administrative, continuous improvement role, ideally within financial services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of stockbroking back office processes
  • Process Improvement, identifying what needs changing and articulating the requirements to business analysts and the wider development team
  • Operates with integrity and an exceptionally high client centric mind-set
  • Proven track record of initiating, building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to collaborate within the team and across teams to achieve desirable outcomes
  • Expert knowledge of our products and platform
  • Expert knowledge of financial markets and trading
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Broad knowledge of work processes and quality system requirements
  • Knowledge of importance of process and sound commercial practice
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
