Job Description:

Cargo Force Inc., a leader in mail and cargo ground handling in the United States, is search for a strong, experienced Chief Operating Officer of Postal Operations to assume responsibility for the leadership and management of the organization’s system-wide station operations.

The COO of Postal Operations will lead the successful operation and expansion of the company’s system. This executive will hold primary responsibility for management of the day-to-day operations of the station network.

Bringing a proven track record of implementing operational systems and policies and procedures, the COO of Postal Operations will build a station operational platform on which the company will implement and execute at the highest levels of operational excellence. He or she will build an infrastructure that ensures consistency in the delivery of a superior service, while creating an environment in which AGI - Post hires, retains and promotes outstanding employees.

In order to drive growth and achieve successful results, this executive will be responsible for implementing cross-functional initiatives that drive expansion, manage expenses, ensure brand integrity, and orchestrate training and team development across the company. He or she will support the company’s operational and growth strategies and will ensure the team is aligned to deliver on all metrics regarding quality, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

AGI is based in Miami, Florida. The Company is open to this person being based in other locations that offer direct airline service to locations throughout AGI-Post network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead AGI-Post station network, ensuring outstanding customer service and support throughout the system.

  • Successfully drive the day-to-day operations of the station network, including visiting stations on a consistent basis and being an ever present leader who is admired and respected at all levels of the organization, from line employees to senior leadership.

  • In conjunction with AGI-Post senior leadership team, build and implement a long-term operations strategy for the system to allow successful growth and consistent operational excellence.

  • Develop and execute quality standards, processes, procedures and improvements, resulting in increased revenue and EBITDA.

  • Put in place, track and manage the business by KPIs.

  • Anticipate and plan for growth, and ensure all operational initiatives and plans are scalable and executed with consistency and quality.

  • Lead and direct all efforts relating to new station openings. Provide executive oversight of the entire process, from construction through opening, hiring and training team members, operational execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Define and implement the key processes and procedures to hire, develop, mentor and promote individuals, with the overarching goal of creating a people-centric culture that recognizes and values performance.

  • Develop a management team that rewards performance for contributions in achieving company objectives and strategic initiatives.

  • Recruit and lead a strong team of general managers and prioritize operational excellence at the unit level.

  • Identify ways to improve processes, procedures and outcomes across all functions of the organization, including day-to-day station management; acquisition and retention; and hiring, training and development.

  • Collaborate and foster effective relationships across the organization.

Experience

  • The ideal candidate is an accomplished station / mail operations executive who brings demonstrated success leading teams in complex businesses in order to achieve common goals.

  • He or she should bring outstanding experience in Mail, Airport and Cargo Operations, ideally from the USPS, airline, cargo and ground handling perspectives.

  • This person must be a well-respected leader who is recognized for collaborative leadership skills and a commitment to building high-performance teams.

  • He or she should have proven experience setting a clear vision and direction, building a positive culture and driving results through others.

  • The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of delivering operational excellence and driving business in rapidly changing environments.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Mail, Airport Operations, Cargo, and / or Ground Handling, with at least five years of leadership experience.

  • Successful management of a team of high-achieving Mail, Airport Operations, Cargo, and Ground Handling employees in a well-thought of organization with a strong reputation for success and achievement.

  • Large-scale project management and leadership experience.

  • Extensive dealings and a positive reputation within the industry. The knowledge of how to create and maintain relationships with customers, peer executives, employees and superiors worldwide, contributing to the enhancement of the profitability of the company.

  • Successful execution of a consistently safe organization.
