Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for short and long-term marketing strategies, plans and budget in line with global marketing strategies of whole Vx portfolios including Shingrix, Cervarix and etc while following up on actual progress and provide recommendations concerning the flexibility required to meet changing marketing conditions.
  • Achieve growth in terms of sales and market share while contributing to the organisational overall objectives.
  • Conduct, assign and coordinate marketing related studies for current or expansion opportunities.
  • Recommend/review proposed changes in marketing activities, including promotion programs, customer service and assist in the implementation of approved changes.
  • Responsible for marketing research and marketing service functions and activities.
  • Develop, utilize and apply techniques appropriate to marketing decision making which include recent developments in marketing research, marketing intelligence and company information systems. Participate in all related review meetings, supply information about marketing position, economic outlook and relationships of current decisions to long range factors.
  • Lead cross functional matrix partners towards a common goal.
  • Ensure adherence to GSK International Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing and ensuring that codes are implemented appropriately and applied.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of experience leading and implementing marketing strategies and plans.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (leading a team with direct reports, and/or significant enterprise/matrix leadership).
  • Experience in leading and managing cross functional teams.
  • Extensive experience with marketing.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to effectively manage across boundaries and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning and time management skills. 
  • Ability to effectively lead and influence global marketing / cross functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to set strategy and identify key insights.
  • Proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to rapidly understand complex stakeholder maps, identify key interdependencies and develop prioritized plans.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience defining and interpreting market research.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and vaccine processes.
  • Ability to travel ~50% time.
