Job Summary

The Project Manager II manages complex projects from planning through delivery. Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated. Being a Project Manager III utilizes appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines. Communicates schedule and changes to all stakeholders. Additionally, Project Manager II plans and facilitates project meeting notes, and project summaries. Monitors task completion status to identify at risk project task and to develop mitigation plans. Allocates resources, budget, and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary.

Leadership and Functional Responsibilities: 

 

  • Project Planning:  

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives, tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. 

  • Initiates and manages projects as required 

  • Liaise between Business Leaders and PMO projects as required 

  • Participates in PMP mentorship and certification requirements for PMO and BRCC 

  • Project Execution: Lead project teams in executing project tasks, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines 

  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, monitor resource utilization, and make adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.  

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, create risk mitigation plans, and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle.  

  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including team members, clients, vendors, and executives.  

  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report financial status to senior management 

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices. 

  • Change Management: Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and objectives while minimizing disruption and maximizing value.  

  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and project stakeholders.  

 

Education and Skill Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. 

  • 2-3 years of experience in project management, preferably in a consumer goods or retail environment. 

  • PMP, CAPM, or similar certification preferred. 

Skills: 

  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello). 

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation. 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements 

  • Position is hybrid - working out of our Salt Lake City Corporate office.

  • This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work 

  • Light to moderate lifting is required 

  • Estimated travel <10%  

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate 

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic) 

  • Ability to work in a confined area 

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
