The HR Integrations Developer is a member of the People team HR Technology Operations organization within Shared Services.  In this critical role, you will provide technical support for Workday integrations and HR Ecosystem across our Human Resources, Financial, Benefits and Payroll systems. We’re constantly looking to maximize our usage of Workday but we also integrate with best-in-class tools. This role will work across the People team and with technical partners to understand and organize our evolving technology needs, with an eye to how these requests fit in with the existing Toast systems landscape. As a developer, you will play a key role in re-imagining productivity by shipping transformative integrations that serve Toast’s employees and business groups. The ideal candidate will question common assumptions, rethink existing integration, reporting and security design, configurations, and see every challenge as an opportunity for system improvements. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to scale the business, evaluate current architecture, solve complex business problems for HR and inspire the team to challenge the status quo. Additionally, you will support reporting and security areas as well and ship reporting and security solutions. This role reports functionally to the Sr Manager of HR Systems & dotted line reporting to the In-Country People Team Sr Manager of HR Shared Services. 

 

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Server as the subject matter expert on large collections of Workday Integrations and HR Ecosystem integrations
  • Lead the research, design, development and testing and delivery of Workday / HR Ecosystem integrations
  • Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment lifecycle
  • Work with business stakeholders to determine problem areas and overall impact of projects 
  • Research integrations failures to perform root cause analysis, and report back to management with plan of action 
  • Understand data flows and system usages between internal systems and Workday, driving alignment with other system owners
  • Create and maintain integrations from Workday to internal Toast systems and external vendors using Workday tools such as Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Cloud Connect, Core Connector, Workday Studio.
  • Create, maintain and optimize our model for Workday reporting. Collaborate with internal partners to design and produce customized dashboards, advanced reports, and ad-hoc analyses and make it self-service.
  • Create and maintain a variety of security roles in Workday for both HR and non-HR partners including administrator roles, segmented security groups, aggregation security groups, and intersection security groups for a growing organization with both supervisory and location-based support models.
  • Drive major Workday releases, including comprehensive plan for adoption of new features and regression testing for impacts to existing reports and integrations. 
  • Evaluate requests for new products to determine alignment with existing Toast systems and overall systems strategy goals. Determine integration / security / reporting roadmap prioritization.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to create and maintain integrations through Workato Automation 

 

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements) 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Workday integrations developer (preferred certified in Workday Studio)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with integration technologies such as Web Services, XML, XSLT, SOAP and Java
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Workday analyst or administrator responsible for developing reports and security.  
  • Completed Workday Training for Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Configurable Security, Integration System Fundamentals or equivalent experience creating various reports and integrations in Workday (advanced/matrix/composite reports, dashboards, inbound/outbound EIBs, Cloud Connect, Core Connectors, XSLT)
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with  Workday Core HCM , Business Process Administration, Report Writing, Security &  Payroll 
  • Preferred Workday Automation Integration experience and Workato Pro Certifications 
  • Preferred a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience
  • Understands how company systems are integrated within and outside of the HR organization
  • Has worked in a highly matrixed, global organization 
  • Experienced working in a SOX based environment and have been responsible for programs and processes that are SOX compliant
  • End-to-end process understanding with an ability to develop and maintain processes, and HR service center procedures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and sound influential skills
  • Project management experience with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage several objectives simultaneously while prioritizing and executing technology roadmap plans.
  • Collaborative problem-solving approach; leverages relationships and strong business acumen to understand not only the “what” the “why” behind requests; displays empathy for partner teams
  • Ability to multitask under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment; flexible and able to respond to rapidly changing business needs
