Provides detailed product and business expertise. Partners with Federal Agencies to translate technical specification to ensure alignment of business requirements with system functionality. Responsible for creating and maintaining relationships through onboarding and production operational readiness related to agency’s implementation of electronic services offered by the US Treasury.

Essential Accountabilities

  • Consults with agency to formulate a right-fit service recommendation based on agency business needs and capabilities. recommendation.

  • Assists agencies in reviewing business and product needs, communicates key insights and documents requirements for migrating to a more cost-efficient product solution.

  • Reviews systems requirements documentation and consults with agencies to ensure technical needs and objectives can be met with available system functionality.

  • Provides business and product guidance, education, and training throughout onboarding and production operational readiness process.

  • Coordinates troubleshooting of issues experienced by the agencies during testing.

  • Communication with parties within and outside their function to assist in collection and validation of information related to projects and/or Treasury Initiatives. 

  • Strategic execution of agency outreach initiatives on behalf of Treasury.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related work experience OR

  • Two years of college and 5 years of related work experience OR

  • High school diploma/GED and 7 years of related work experience


Knowledge and Skills Area - Intermediate Level

  • Treasury Services products to communicate effectively with agencies

  • US payments system, including ACH, checks, plastic cards and emerging digital payments

  • Problem-solving

  • Analytical

  • Ability to process and move customers through implementation processes.

  • Performing validation and pre-defined tasks using complex workflows

  • Work/task planning abilities to set expectations and track workflow to identify gaps and risks

  • Ability to alternate between a variety of tasks and projects with varied timelines

  • Assisting with trouble-shooting user questions

  • Working collaboratively and successfully in a team environment toward common goals

  • Ability to continuously build and refresh technical expertise with the Treasury Services products to communicate effectively with agencies

  • Ability to build knowledge of business area.

  • Following vaguely defined procedures w/ limited oversight.

  • Consistently makes decisions within reason that affect the work group or department

  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders

  • Ability to influence positive customer experience

  • Communication (verbal and written) to lead conference calls and participate in webinars with Treasury and Agencies

The expected starting salary range for the Implementation Specialist is between ​$79,500 and $109,300 annually. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
