The Client Organisation was established to support and complement the businesses and ensure that we deliver ‘OneCiti’ in a consistent and disciplined way through a centralised view of client strategy, segmentation and coverage model.

Within this organisation, the Client Business Execution team manages the administrative and operational support of the Chief Client Officer; centrally leads the execution of key priorities and business routines; programme manages a selection of strategic initiatives; owns resource allocation, productivity and the realisation of cost efficiencies; and drives culture and people initiatives with the rest of the Client leadership team.

The Business Unit Manager is responsible for accomplishing results by organising, coordinating, managing or challenging administrative and performance activities – in collaboration with the Client leadership team and their business execution leads as well as functional partners. These tasks may include the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs, managing reviews, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues and leading ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive administrative, operational, reporting and quality improvements through partnership with internal teams;

  • Support financial management by applying a comprehensive understanding of the department Profit & Loss (P&L) and headcount flows in order to improve operational efficiency and productivity;

  • Oversee the Client Organisation financial infrastructure (DSMT, functionals preparation) in close collaboration with Finance;

  • Lead the implementation of the Enterprise Workforce Management framework for the Client organisation, ensure completion of project deliverables and implementation of associated processes in BAU, ensure headcount is accurate and real estate impact is anticipated;

  • Provide oversight of the business-critical milestone reporting and other reporting processes to ensure quality, efficiency and accuracy working with our Transformation colleagues;

  • Support the talent strategy as well as the communication strategy for the department;

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

To deliver these responsibilities, the SVP candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of analytical problem solving, ability to prioritise and think strategically, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Due to the breadth of the role, the successful candidate will be a flexible, results-orientated individual with the ability to deal with ambiguity and a diverse range of businesses and information. The role demands a strong work ethic, and the individual should have a high level of integrity to deal with highly confidential data and be able to demonstrate initiative.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred

  • Outstanding employment performance, successful candidates will usually have 10+ years of experience in financial services

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Understanding of financial services and the way large financial institutions operate – knowledge of Citi’s organisation, products and services will be a plus

  • Previous business execution and / or project management experience desired

  • Advanced excel / presentation skills essential
