About the Role: Seeking a Database Support Engineer to provide technical support, maintenance, and performance monitoring for StarDog Graph Database systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of the graph database infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: • Provide first- and second-level support for StarDog Graph DB-related issues. • Troubleshoot and resolve SPARQL query issues, data load failures, and integration problems. • Monitor StarDog server health, performance, and logs. • Assist developers and analysts with data access, permissions, and query tuning. • Maintain documentation for known issues, solutions, and best practices. • Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patches on StarDog environments. • Work closely with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into support solutions. Required Skills & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 4+ years of experience in a technical support or database administrator role. • Basic to intermediate understanding of StarDog, RDF, SPARQL, GraphQL and semantic technologies. • Experience with Linux command-line tools, shell scripting, and system monitoring. • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools like Grafana. • Ability to analyze logs and performance metrics to troubleshoot issues. • Strong communication skills and customer-centric mindset. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience supporting semantic/graph databases (StarDog, Neo4j, etc.). • Knowledge of ontologies, SHACL validation, and linked data standards. • Exposure to DevOps tools and methodologies (Docker, Jenkins, etc.). • Scripting in Python or Bash for automation and support tasks.
