We are looking for that elusive senior technology specialist that can jump in the deep end and leverage 7+ years of IT experience to work in the world of AML regulatory reporting.

You will be a true self starter and eager to learn as you manage a critical AML regulatory application ensuring that the bank continues to meet its regulatory obligations.

This is an on-prem vendor application supporting the AML KYC function and your superb problem-solving skills that leverage your oracle, linux, shell scripting knowledge will be the key to success.

You have excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with both business and upstream technology partners.

In addition, areas of focus include translating user requirements into technical specifications, and managing the preparation of design specifications. Supports system design, provides advice on security requirements and debug business systems and service applications. Applies deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures and programming languages to develop high quality technology applications and services - including tools, standards, and relevant software platforms based on business requirements.

• Translates user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from user.​

• Analyzes, develops, tests, and implements new software programs, and documentation of entire software development life cycle execution.

• Performs preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components​.

• Ensures that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements.​

• Evaluates new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk.

• Follows release management processes and standards, and applies version controls. ​

• Assists in interpreting and documentation of client requirements.​

• Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.

• Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.

• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

• Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.

• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

• Prepared to work night/weekend when deploying solutions

Qualifications:

• Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5 + years of Oracle DB development PL/SQL experience

• 5 + years of Linux Shell Scripting

• 5 + years of IBM Websphere knowledge (and ability to configure)

• 5 + years of Data Migration need to understand application.

• Support of Vendor application - self starter to learn the application and understand the business knowledge.

• DevOps:  GitHub, Ansible (for deployment, code management)

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with AML

• Hadoop Knowledge - connect to hBase, AWS knowledge (AML roadmap)

$74,800.00 - $138,600.00

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
