How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Product Owner on the Fidelity Wealth team, you will be responsible for representing the business unit’s priorities and managing product delivery on a cross-functional Salesforce scrum team. You will set the vision and direction for our client relationship management (CRM) experience, including:

  • Developing the product roadmap,
  • Leading user research and testing,
  • Prioritizing the product backlog, epics and stories,
  • Writing epics and stories,
  • Documenting use cases, and
  • Defining feature requirements

You will also be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with partners in technology, design, and marketing to implement system and journey enhancements,
  • Using data to inform product roadmap choices and priorities,
  • Enabling scrum team members to work iteratively, to innovate through testing and experimentation, and to learn from setbacks while celebrating success,
  • Evaluating the work generated by the scrum team to ensure feature implementations and releases are successful,
  • Documenting processes and enabling reviews with partners in legal, risk, and compliance,
  • Partnering with the Learning & Development team to create and update relevant training materials and job aids, and
  • Leading periodic business planning meetings and contributing to regular business reviews.

What We’re Looking For

  • Required Skills:
    • University degree (in Business, Commerce or a related field) or equivalent work experience (in a product owner, product management, or business analyst role)
    • 3+ years’ experience of Agile product management experience
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Salesforce, Jira, and Design Thinking / user research experience
  • Nice to Have:
    • Scrum / Product Owner certification(s)
    • Experience in financial services
    • Bilingual (verbal and written) in English and French

  • Ability to understand client, advisor, and business needs and translate strategic objectives into action,
  • Ability to develop a vision for product features and break them into clear and concise epics and stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria,
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile product management processes and principles,
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and leadership skills,
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to design, deliver and maintain dynamic digital products and solutions,
  • Capacity to lead, influence and motivate colleagues without formal authority, while removing blockers and impediments to progress, and
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with senior management, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.

Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
