An exciting opportunity has arisen for Communications Assistantworking as part of the CES+ team, and together with the wider Centrica business.

 

As a Communications Assistant, you’ll help create digital communications to enhance our strategic and operational messaging. You’ll also support the development and maintenance of our internal communication channels, helping grow colleague engagement focusing on our purpose “energising a greener, fairer future”.

 

Location - Hybrid Home / Hull

 

The Role

  • Support positive engagement, helping ensure business knowledge is communicated via the most appropriate communication channel, including email, digital screens, Town halls and engagement surveys.
  • Support improvement of engagement via Digital Comms, aligned to what is going on within the wider Centrica comms team.
  • Help to improve the channels available to our business and maximise effectiveness of sharing key messages. Create content for the use on vlogs and provide regular digital updated for communication of positive business news and messages.
  • Enhance communication campaigns, messages and events through content that brings our culture, strategy and tone of voice to life.
  • Work with Executive Assistant and business stakeholders to find creative solutions to engage colleagues in technical and operational messages.
  • Provide Collaboration Team support.
  • Administer colleague volunteering booking tool and communications.
  • Assist in sourcing merchandise quotations / new comms material and updates to current templates with suppliers for safety and STEM event campaigns.

 

Experience

  • Previous experience in a communications and content creation role or have recently completed education in a relevant subject would be desirable.
  • The ability to plan, film and edit video and audio is desirable
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Coordination and organisation skills
  • Knowledge of Office365 tools, particularly SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint
  • An understanding of video production software such as Adobe Premiere would be an asset
  • Previous experience in a communications and content creation role is desirable
  • Experience in the use of social media platforms
  • Experience in the co-ordination of onsite and offsite meetings and events
