About the role

The Creative Project Manager is responsible for managing the production of marketing collateral and advertising campaign creative across media channels for our B2B lines of business. You will report to the Director of Creative Operations, serving as a connective thread between Brand Creative and project stakeholders to ensure the highest quality output and most efficient production of creative assets.

You are a process-minded individual who seeks out opportunities for streamlining creative workflows, and your organizational, communication and collaboration skills are valued by both project stakeholders and creative team members. You are comfortable taking direction from business leaders and peers, while also confident in your ability to take the lead and work autonomously.

This role is based out of our NYC office. Below we've reflected the base salary range we would offer for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Betterment’s total compensation package for employees. 

  • New York City: $90,000 - $100,000

This job may also be eligible for variable compensation in the form of a company incentive bonus.  For jobs based out of our NYC HQ, we require in office attendance Tuesday through Thursday, weekly.

A day in the life

  • Coordinate with fellow project managers to prioritize and resource projects for the Brand Creative team
  • Review incoming creative briefs to ensure goals and scope are clearly defined
  • Develop project schedules and collaborate with creative, marketing, legal and compliance to facilitate seamless and timely execution of project deliverables
  • Manage external agencies and freelancers to ensure deadlines are met within budget
  • Confirm all creative assets are delivered according to the required file specifications
  • Maintain file management system to ensure all project deliverables are properly documented and stored
  • Consulted for ideas on process improvements - we value the knowledge you bring!

What we’re looking for

  • 3-5 years of project management experience within an in-house creative team or agency, preferably with a focus on B2B marketing and/or the finance industry
  • Proven ability to interpret and understand the needs of marketing
  • Clear sense of project scope and how long a project may take to complete
  • Passionate about maintaining brand standards and working in a creative environment, even if you don’t consider yourself a “creative” person 
  • Proficient with project management platforms (e.g. Asana) and DAM systems (e.g. Bynder)
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g. Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and technical creative specs across media channels
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

In the interview process, we’ll look to learn more about your skills, experiences, capabilities, and motivators. Many of our questions will be aimed at understanding how you might operate here at Betterment. Depending on the role, we may ask you to complete a case study exercise or technical assessments, as we want to collect a robust set of data points to better inform our decisions.

On average, it takes us around 3-5 weeks to make a hiring decision, depending on your availability and sense of urgency. As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 2-3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision.
