About the Role

As a Sr Associate Software Application Engineer on the Skills team, you will:

• Work in an agile, multi-disciplinary team, that includes product managers, QA, and machine learning engineers, to deliver critical features for Workday’s Skills Cloud product

• Write robust, efficient and maintainable code using Workday XpressO, our in-house programming language, React, and other technologies

• Build APIs to empower Workday products with the power of Skills

• Challenge the status quo, and innovate on our technology, processes, and team

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with UML, Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service) technologies

• 2+ years of experience with OO design and development in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, XO, etc.

• 2+ years of experience designing/developing business applications

• 2+ years of experience with design and analysis of software for performance

• Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience

Other Qualifications

• Experience building frameworks, SDKs, and/or APIs

• Proficiency in JavaScript

• Intrinsically motivated, self-starting, continuous learner with a bias for action that takes ownership

• Must be a collaborative teammate with good verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with XML and Integration technologies is a plus

• You feel the key to good object oriented development is strong design patterns

• You believe applications should be usable and configurable

Workday Pay Transparency Statement 

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
