Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are seeking a Staff Diagnostics Engineer to define, architect, and validate the on-board diagnostics framework for Figure’s humanoid robot platform. This role is responsible for developing the systems that monitor robot health, detect faults, and enable serviceability across compute, power, actuation, locomotion and sensing systems.
You will work across hardware, firmware, controls, behaviors and systems integration teams to ensure every subsystem reports accurate, actionable diagnostic data in real time. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of system-level fault behavior, embedded systems, and service engineering principles. The ideal candidate combines strong technical judgment with a system-thinking approach to create a robust diagnostics architecture that scales.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 and $250,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
