A Brief Overview

The Fulfillment Center Supervisor is a collaborative, people first leader that oversees a group of assigned associates to ensure the completion of daily responsibilities, resolve issues and manage purchase orders and vendor deliveries. This leader partners directly with Leads and Managers to ensure an efficient operation that keeps Safelite on the move.

What you will do

People Leadership

  • Coaches, trains, and develops fulfillment associates-providing both informal and formal job performance-based feedback.
  • Assists with interviewing, hiring and establishing performance expectations; assist with associate relations matters as needed.
  • Creates a positive and engaging work environment where people are motivated to perform their best

Operational Management

  • Responsible for the overall performance of assigned department, to include safety, quality, productivity, and culture of team.
  • Work with leadership team to develop and execute daily and weekly operational plans that maintain building throughout and balance while achieving budget goals and expectations.
  • Coordinate with other leaders to ensure effective hand-off between shifts that allows for maintaining building balance between all departments
  • Coordinate with other leaders to ensure any assigned special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, or other building priorities have adequate resources and are accomplished as planned


Health and Safety

  • Ensures Federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, CDL, DOT and MHE) are being followed in location
  • Proactively identify risk behaviors and coach/train to eliminate
  • Ensure the operation leads with safety


Internal Collaboration

  • Work across the site and shifts to drive results, frequently collaborating, negotiating, and planning with colleagues to ensure success of the operation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards


Education Qualifications

High School Required

Experience Qualifications

4-6 years leadership or supervisory experience required

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with a WMS (Medium proficiency)
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time (Medium proficiency)
  • Physical requirements are inclusive, but not limited to, the following:
  • Ability to work at a physical distribution location
  • Ability to work in an office environment (in a stationary position) but will also on distribution floor as needed
  • Ability to occasionally lift windshields, up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to satisfy all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements as outlined in the Field Supplemental Handbook (i.e., ability to wear safety glasses while working in the distribution center)
  • To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds. If you are hired to operate this equipment, you will need to weigh under 300lbs.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment, such as a phone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Frequent communication with customers, associates, vendors, and others. Must be able to exchange accurate information. (High proficiency)
