ADFED is seeking a proactive and detail oriented new college graduate planner to join our team. As a production planner, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the supply chain needs of newly onboarded government programs, working with multiple stakeholders from the business unit, program management team, engineering organization and both internal and external customers. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent project management abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work order tracking, expediting, and paperwork accuracy
  • Implementing engineering change orders (ECOs) by completing impact statements on finished goods inventory, WIP material, raw inventory, etc.
  • Own communication of shipment statuses and any delays to relevant stakeholders
  • Provide daily reports to track WIP for material, identifying any bottlenecks or delays with the supply of material to the manufacturing floor
  • Identify potential risks to supporting internal and external demand and engage with process engineering, manufacturing ops, and other teams to mitigate risks
  • Update order status and commit dates based on inputs from program management, engineering teams, and suppliers
  • Work with procurement to manage component tracking and ensure availability of piece parts and sub-levels to support top-level build plans
  • Maintain supply statement report to illustrate where program “red” begins and mitigate risk to starts prior to kit drops
  • Work with manufacturing operations and the business unit to implement quarterly manufacturing plans to align build schedule with customer need dates

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in supply chain
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Must be a US citizen and have the ability to hold a security clearance

Desired Skills

  • SAP experience
  • Ability to understand complex BOMs
  • Ability to read MRP and action items accordingly
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
  • Strong data analysis skills
