Responsibilities
• Support VP DG as directed / required
• DG Practitioner SME (DQ; MDM; Framework)
• Assist with implementing and sustaining Data Governance across various teams
• Supporting Data Governance working groups and meetings (preparing content, writing up minutes, tracking actions)
• Prep and support creation of Data Governance materials as directed
• Collaborate with Stakeholders to assess needs / gaps
• Build PPTs
• Support / Lead training sessions with stakeholder groups as directed
• Data Analysis as required
Data Stewardship Experience
• Support VP DG as directed / required
• Train Data Stewards on utilization of DG/DQ Tool and Remediation process as directed
• Facilitate DG Forum meetings with Data Stewardship SMEs
• Collibra and Satori SME and resource to Stewards
• Create, Prepare and deliver training as directed
• Support of Tagging and Privacy Masking Processes as directed
• Lead Data Stewards through required work
Data Quality
• Support VP DG as directed / required
• Collaboration with Data Stewards and Stakeholders on DQ efforts
• Research and Facilitate segment-wide DQ Rules and work with Technical Admin to test and deploy in DQ Tool
• Support collection of DQ metrics and completion of DQ scorecards as directed
Data Governance Platform
• Support VP DG as directed / required
• Collibra (or similar) SME for Data Steward Council members
• Collaboration with Collibra CoE and IT as needed
• Oversight of Collibra Data Glossary/Dictionary with specific focus on proper Data Diagraming technique
• Training and Education to Data Stewards regarding the above as directed
Master Data Management
• Support VP DG as directed / required
• Screen initial requests for MDM Collaboration with stakeholders to investigate / analyze as needed
• Communication and collaboration with Data Store IT Teams and BSAs to request needed data for MDM analysis
• Query Snowflake for basic inquiries and investigation
• Analyze raw data to Prepare and Propose MDM approach
• Support MDM Pilot and eventual MDM Tool process as directed
Collaboration with Report Governance Lead as needed
 

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field(s) preferred.
• P&C insurance experience preferred (minimum 3 years)
• Minimum 3 years experience or knowledge of Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Master Data Management, and Data Stewardship principles and preferably hold a relevant certification (e.g. DAMA, DCMP, DCAM or similar)
• Minimum 3 years experience applying technical and business skills to perform data analysis, understand business requirements and translate that knowledge into descriptive metadata and reference data
• Experience working with Snowflake (or similar) and experience with system testing and understanding data masking and security principles.
• Experience to writing and executing basic SQL-based queries

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$110,058 - $148,902/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
