The Role: APAC Region Benefit Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable APAC Regional Benefit Lead to oversee and manage the employee benefit programs across the Asia-Pacific region including India and Pakistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering benefit plans that align with local regulations and meet the needs of our diverse workforce.

The Team: The Global Benefits Team is a team of specialists that focuses on the Wellbeing and Benefits for our colleagues across the globe supporting 40+ countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive benefit strategies and programs for the APAC region, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Manage and administer employee benefit plans, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks.
  • Collaborate with local HR teams to ensure effective communication and education on benefit programs.
  • Monitor and analyze benefit trends and benchmark against industry standards to ensure competitive offerings.
  • Work closely with external vendors and consultants to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR teams and employees on benefit-related inquiries and issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in benefit regulations and industry best practices.
  • Undertake benefits-related projects and initiatives, as required.
  • Managing and developing a team of Benefit analysts. 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in benefits administration or related field. This experience should include designing and implementing benefit programs, managing vendor relationships, and staying updated on benefit regulations and industry best practices.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing a team.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of benefit regulations and practices in the APAC region (multiple countries). The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of benefit regulations and practices in the APAC region. This includes familiarity with local laws and compliance requirements, as well as an ability to navigate cultural nuances and adapt benefit programs to meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be able to collaborate with local HR teams, negotiate with external vendors, and provide guidance and support to employees on benefit-related inquiries and issues.
  • Fluent English skills. Proficiency in multiple languages is desirable. The APAC region is diverse, and the ability to communicate effectively in different languages can enhance collaboration and understanding.
  • There is option to work from office 2 days a week.
  • For candidates in Philippines & Malaysia this is EMEA shift, for India – APAC morning shift.
  • 5% travel - Domestic likely, international potentially.
