Job Summary

We are seeking a Benefits and Compensation Specialist to join our People Operations team. This role will play a critical part in managing and optimizing employee benefits programs and compensation structures, ensuring they are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with our values. 

Key Responsibilities:

Benefits Program Management

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Conduct benefits enrollment and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Research and recommend new benefits offerings to meet employee needs and align with company goals.
  • Administering and overseeing the Leave of Absence program, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and organizational objectives.

Compensation Analysis and Administration

  • Analyze and benchmark compensation data to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Maintain and update salary structures and pay bands to reflect industry trends.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compensation and benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on compensation trends, pay equity and benefits utilization.
  • Conduct periodic audits of benefits data and compensation practices to maintain data integrity.

Employee Communication and Education

  • Create and deliver communication materials to help team members understand their total rewards package.
  • Conduct training sessions on new hire and annual open enrollment.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to team members, ensuring transparency and clarity in all matters related to compensation and benefits. 

Key Qualifications:

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits roles, ideally in fast-paced or tech environments.

Skills & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of compensation structures, benefits administration, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (experience with Rippling preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate team members effectively.
  • Great attention to detail with a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Passion for team member experience and a drive to innovate and enhance HR practices.
