Intro and job overview: 

The Associate Data Engineer, Quality Management performs manual quality assurance checks on Precisely’s Enrich Data products, ensuring that they are top quality and conform to product specifications.  

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Perform manual quality assurance checks on established Data products working under the auspices of fellow quality engineers.
  • Identify quality checking tasks that can be automated for better efficiency and report same.
  • Utilize Precisely’s automated quality tools that will flag data errors for manual review.
  • Report progress during daily standup and written completed QC checklists.
  • Work as a strong teammate; mentor with fellow quality engineers to grow skillset and product knowledge.
  • Assist with and participate in QA training programs and initiatives for production staff and other teams.
  • Complete all assigned tasks on time, first time right.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field - required
  • Strong observation, attention to detail and pattern recognition skills - required
  • Strong QGIS or MapInfo skills & experience - required
  • JIRA, MS Office experience - required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication - required
  • Performance as a team player – required
  • Travel is required: NO
  • Industry experience in QA – a plus
  • Continual improvement mindset – a plus
  • Experience with or knowledge of Precisely Data products – a plus
  • Due to working across global time zones, we prefer candidates in the Eastern and Central time zones.
