BIETC is currently looking for Experienced Support Engineering Data Specialist - Flight Manual to join the Maintenance Engineering team to support various Aircraft Maintenance Manuals at Chennai. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial (BCA) business organization.

A successful candidate will create, change, or revise airplane maintenance publications using a variety of automated research tools and authoring systems. They will analyze basic engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance/repair/retrofit requirements, procedures, and instructions.

Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
•    Support Technical publications software implementation (support to software testing, Business rules creation/update, software guidelines)
•    Create and revise military and/or civilian flight documents (Aircraft Flight Manuals, Flight Crew operating Manual, Pilot's Abbreviated Checklists, Operating Manuals, Pilot's Operating Handbooks, etc.).
•    Lead activities to define, document and maintain multiple flight crew operations procedures, task lists, operations manuals, and checklists.
•    Wide knowledge on operating limitations, operating procedures, performance information, etc.
•    Possess specialized knowledge in various areas such as aircraft systems, operations, regulations, technical writing, and document control.
•    Provide expertise and contribute to the accurate and comprehensive content development of the AFM and FCOM.
•    Ensure appropriate technical information and data is accumulated through researching and analyzing project engineering drawings, test procedures, design specifications/documentation, and software description documents.
•    When required, collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts such as system engineers, technicians, flight test engineers, pilots, and publications personnel.
•    General knowledge of how project specific technical data is developed in accordance with (IAW) a project book plan or technical data development plan.
•    Ensure clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation is authored, and that the team is adhering to the processes required by the project.
•    Actively interface with illustrators and production personnel to support the development of technical documentation.
•    Analyze validity and impact of customer comments.
•    Ensure team assignments are completed in timely manner to facilitate on-time delivery of technical data to our customers.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement objectives to achieve quality goals.
•    Follow desktop procedures, publications standards and government/customer specifications for authoring.
•    Being a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
•    Execute work independently without supervision.
•    Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
•    Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.
•    Identify the opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in the creation, management, and distribution of technical publications.
•    Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
•    Bachelor’s Degree or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) or equivalent is required as a Basic Qualification.
•    10+ years of experience in Aerospace technical publications or related work experience in other similar domain.
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM), S1000D and technical publications tools and processes, including Common Source Database (CSDB).
•    Prepares and ensures AFM, FCOM submittal complies with the FAA Order requirements.
•    Proven experience in setting up technical publication infrastructure from a process point of view.
•    Expertise in Technical publications requirements and engineering documentation interpretation (Installation drawings, Functional Test Procedures).
•    Experience with the applications like Jira, Siemens solutions (Teamcenter, NX), SAP and xml.
•    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
•    Experience working in Agile environment and familiar with related processes and tools.
•    Ability to define and document processes as required.
•    Ability to identify potential issues, analyze and recommend improvements and alternate solutions.
•    Proven reasoning, analytical abilities, and mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
•    Bachelor’s Degree or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) or equivalent

Typical Education & Experience: 
Bachelor's or equivalent with Minimum 10-12 years of experience / Master’s degree with 8 or more years' experience in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics.
