Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marketing team at Marsh supporting our Investments business. This is a Melbourne or Sydney based role. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Marketing Specialist
We will count on you to:
- Support Practice Marketing Leader and Marketing Business Partners with annual marketing strategy development and marketing plan reviews
- Develop briefs (or reverse briefs) in consultation with internal stakeholders for key campaigns and initiatives
- Handle incoming marketing and communications team requests from business stakeholders and marketing and communications team leaders, responding professionally at all times
- Assist with the planning and execution of larger marketing campaigns across a range of channels
- Lead the planning and execution of smaller-scale campaigns or initiatives
- Develop marketing and communications assets with minimal guidance from senior team members
- Assist with the development of competitive value propositions and client-centric messaging
- Support the design and execution of automated journeys (using our preferred marketing automation tool), ensuring adherence to all relevant approvals processes
- Support the building of targeted lists for all email campaigns (using our preferred CRM), using data analytics and insights to ensure lists are appropriately segmented
- Support the sales/marketing ‘handshake’ by working closely with senior marketers to efficiently identify marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and ensuring MQLs are regularly handed off to appropriate stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all legal and branding guidelines, including stewardship of marketing material through legal and brand approvals
- Monitor, measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and key initiatives against objectives, providing actionable intelligence to inform future activities
- Develop and document processes that support the transfer of knowledge across the team
What you need to have:
- You will have a minimum three (3) years’ experience in a marketing and communications team in a corporate or agency environment.
- Ideally, you have a degree in marketing, communications, journalism or business / commerce (with a major in one of these areas).
- Confidence to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise service and delivery.
- A willingness to take on increased responsibilities and the ability to act both independently and as part of a team
- The efficient and timely completion of routine and assigned tasks to support internal and external stakeholder demands and the implementation of major projects.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a track record writing for different channels and audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using and learning different marketing and communication platforms or website content management systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics.
- An openness to experiment with alternative approaches. Is curious about the industry, our businesses, marketing and communication trends and ideas, and brings this into the work delivered in the form of new ideas.
- Ability to regularly analyse and evaluate the work at planning, execution and reporting stages, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making or solve a problem.
