If so, you will have success on one of our dynamic teams.Primary FunctionAs a Promotion Insight Intern at Target, you will gain hands-on experience in all round promotion lifecycle such as strategy, forecast, offer execution, insight generation etc. Working closely with our Promo Insight Analysts, you’ll delve into promotion effectiveness, consumer behavior, and market trends. This role will provide you with a solid understanding of how promotions impact sales and customer engagement, while also offering opportunities to contribute to real-world projects and analysis.

Your responsibilities will most likely include the following:
- Projects: Gaining an understanding of the Target promotion lifecycle, work with mentors and leaders to identify potential opportunities to streamline, converting the opportunities into actionable projects.
- Providing regular/timely updates to leadership on the project / goal status, discussing challenges, risks, and devise mitigation plans.
- Driving the project to closure by achieving the goal within the specified timeline.
- Data Analysis: Assist the promo analysts in collecting and analyzing data, promotion performance metrics, guest & external market facing insights to identify trends and patterns.
- Reporting: Help create comprehensive reports on forecast v/s actual, promotion effectiveness, including sales lift, intensity, index, engagement etc.
- Competitive Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, competitor promotions, and consumer preferences to support strategic decision-making.
- Operational Support: Provide general support to the Promotion Insight team, including data entry, documentation, and coordination of meetings.
- Fostering an inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure culture.
Requirements
- Student in the final year of a two-year Postgraduate program.
- Basic understanding of retail marketing and promotion strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in excel.
- Exposure to data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. R, Tableau, Python) is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Strong planning and organizational skills

- 14 to 15 weeks starting in Dec 2024 or Jan 2025
