We are seeking a visionary VP of Engineering with extensive experience managing multiple engineering groups, including backend engineering, security, distributed cloud, and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering scalable, high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead backend engineering, security, cloud infrastructure, and user experience teams to ensure seamless integration and product delivery.
  • Lead the engineering teams responsible for developing BOT detection systems and mitigation solutions.
  • Design advanced algorithms for real-time traffic analysis to identify malicious activities (e.g., bots, credential stuffing).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define the technical strategy and roadmaps for multiple products and platforms.
  • Drive engineering excellence through best practices in development, deployment, and operational stability.
  • Ensure robust security standards across the engineering lifecycle, working closely with the security team to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity.
  • Oversee the architecture and scalability of distributed cloud systems, ensuring resilience and performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation across engineering teams.
  • Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and project prioritization for engineering departments.
  • Lead hiring, mentoring, and development of engineering leaders, fostering team growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing backend, security, cloud infrastructure, and user experience teams.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams focused on cybersecurity, bot detection, or threat mitigation.
  • Strong understanding of distributed cloud systems and experience in architecting scalable cloud solutions.
  • Expertise in securing complex systems and managing cross-functional teams to ensure robust security.
  • Track record of delivering customer-focused, high-quality products.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).

The annual base pay for this position is: $322,619.00 - $483,929.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
