Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Product Management will be responsible for driving the development and strategic direction of our product portfolio.  This role will ensure the integrity of product data, enhance the efficiency of catalog management, and align data processes with strategic business goals. This individual will leverage their expertise to enhance RaceTrac’s merchandising technology, foster innovation, and deliver value to our store teams and guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines and leads the product vision and strategy for our merchandising solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Establishes a clear vision and direction for a team of Product Managers and Analysts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Develops and executes the product catalog strategy to support both the short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Monitors internal financial performance and the external technology landscape to pinpoint areas in business operations where technology enhancements can drive improvement.
  • Establishes and monitors KPIs to assess product performance, using data to drive continuous improvement and decision-making.
  • Leads efforts to streamline operations, reduce costs, and implement best practices by leveraging technology and data analytics.
  • Communicates effectively with leadership and other stakeholders regarding product strategy, progress, and performance.
  • Develops and executes effective go-to-market plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and iterating on product features and processes.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in product management or related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year College or University or equivalent experience required; Advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Excellent understanding of retail business operations and system functionality.
  • High levels of computer literacy regarding data management systems (SQL, Power BI, Databricks, Access, MicroStrategy, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, agile methodologies, and project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
