What you will accomplish:
Develop, maintain, and socialize a comprehensive strategy and plan including high level financial modeling to focus resources, meet customer needs and deliver results for TCGplayer
Lead the strategic decision-making processes and provide recommendations based on in-depth analysis and forecasting - this is focused on building balanced differentiation clearly aligned with meeting our customers’ top needs; this is as much about deciding what not to do as it is about deciding what to do.
Lead, mentor and develop team members to build a hard-working strategy and BI team.
Ensure the team is structured to conduct detailed market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
Support the development of challenging but achievable strategic initiatives and, when necessary, adjust to respond to changing market conditions and business priorities.
Communicate strategic plans and insights effectively to stakeholders
Partner with TCGplayer’s parent company, eBay, on broader strategic discussions
What you will bring:
Strong bias to building sustainable outcomes.
10-12 years of proven experience, inclusive of 3 years in management consulting and 5 years in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to encourage and empower teams.
Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, financial and storytelling abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate sophisticated ideas clearly and persuasively.
Strong ability to implement with results and willingness to get involved and stay hands-on when necessary
Proven experience working across teams to encourage constructive debate, build consensus and then focus and drive to execution.
An MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
