Job Description

Senior Associate Law (Contingent Worker)

Fulltime position

Contract until the end December 2026

Purpose:

Legal support of cross-functional teams in Poland and Czech & Slovak Cluster („Countries“) in all matters relating to Amgen operations,
Substantive and administrative support of Lead Legal Counsel for the Countries („Manager”),
Legal support of selected tasks/projects with EERT/ELMAC impact.

Context and Key Responsibilities:

Provision of legal support based on applicable EU or local legislation at request of cross-functional teams in the Countries (direct legal support),
Support of contracting & sourcing in cooperation with GSS and RAE in the Countries,
Support of Manager in providing legal advice on all matters relating to all Amgen’s operations in the Countries,
Administrative support of the Manager (where needed)
Monitoring of changes in EU and local legislation.

Key Activities:

Responding to request for legal support from members of cross-functional teams in the Countries in all matters related to Amgen operations,
Drafting of legal documents (power of attorney, statements, applications etc.),
Supporting business negotiations and management of contract templates (drafting, reviewing etc.)
Continuous oversight of ELMAC contract repository for Countries,
Monitoring & analysis of changes in legislation in the Countries,
Preparation & conduct of legal trainings at request for cross-functional teams in the Countries.

Qualifications

Law degree from university law faculty or student in 5th grade of law faculty.
Fluency in English and Czech or Slovak language

Experience

Typically 2 years related experience and/or at least 1 year direct experience in a training or Legal role (life sciences/health care experience preferred) or in-house in a European or multinational life sciences company, or a combination of both
Working with cross-functional teams in international context

Knowledge

Oral and written communication skills
Knowledge about applicable laws and regulations in Czechia and Slovakia
Knowledge about EU legislation applicable to healthcare & pharmaceutical sector 
Knowledge of AIFP requirements in Czecha and/or Slovakia preferred.
