Job Description

Contracts Manager

Reports to Continuing Airworthiness Manager

Responsibilities

a. Organise, manage and maintain an effective and economical administrative system within the Contracts Department; and

Qualifications

a. Hold a valid CAAM Aircraft Maintenance License (AML), or

b. Degree in any discipline from recognised institutions; and

c. Minimum of five (5) years aviation experience.

Duties:

a. Establish and maintain an effective and economical administrative system within the Contracts Department;

b. Monitor the progress of all courses attended by staff(s) within the department to ensure that a high level of quality and performance standard is maintained at all times;

c. Manage the budget requirement of Contracts Department;

d. To ensure that Contracts personnel are in possession of correct skills, are given appropriate training, are up to date on the latest methods, procedures and requirements, are in sufficient strength to accomplish their work effectively;

e. To participate in negotiations with vendors / customers where the contracts and warranty aspects are concerned;

f. Ensure that the contents of aircraft maintenance contracts are in compliance with CAAM Part M Subpart G requirements;

g. To take appropriate follow-up action on rejected claims. Advises management on warranty concerns and solutions;

h. To process contracts implications in purchases and sales of engineering services and equipment;

i. Administration and monitoring of all maintenance contracts and ensuring that they are valid;

j. To prepare and present reports and analysis to engineering management and the Board of Directors;

k. Develop and deliver quality projects from inception to close-out time and within scope and budget;

l. Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective action resulting from the quality compliance monitoring and audit program;

m. Serves as the liaison for the contracts and warranty administration with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; negotiates and resolves sensitive and controversial issues;

n. Produces budgetary forecast for contract activities;

o. In the absence of Contracts Manager, his responsibility will be

assumed by Contracts Executive.
