This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

   

As a SASE Sales Specialist, you will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and will be regarded as a subject matter expert.  The role will be part of an overlay sales organization focused on SASE solutions including Zero Trust, SD-WAN and SSE. You will be responsible for achieving revenue and growth objectives for SASE within Japan and take ownership of developing and executing sales strategies tailored to the Japan market to drive pipeline generation and revenue growth.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams of territory managers, partner business managers and system engineers to create and nurture new sales pipeline.
  • Embrace selling disruptive technology to educate key decision-makers in organizations within Japan.
  • Develop and implement opportunity plans, ensuring regular check-ins with relevant stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • Use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities, expand and enhance existing opportunities to build pipeline and drive pursuit.
  • Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, up to and including the C-level for mid-to-large accounts, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
  • Demonstrate product, market and competitive intelligence for SASE solutions, including Zero Trust, SD-WAN and SSE.
  • Drive awareness and credibility for the organization as a leading SASE vendor.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align go-to-market initiatives.
  • Ensure Salesforce and CRM is updated pro-actively to drive business engagements and forecasting processes.
  • Support proposal development, negotiations, and deal closings.

  • Zero Trust capability delivered through SSE (ZTNA, SWG, and CASB) and SD-WAN in an integrated cloud offering with unmatched security and networking integration.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a sales role positioning secure connectivity and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the Japan network and security market.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and succeed within an overlay sales team.
  • Experience working with channel partners to drive sales opportunities.
  • Track record of driving pipeline generation and achieving revenue targets.
  • Account planning and accurate account revenue forecasting skills.
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape for SASE, SD-WAN, and SSE in the Japan region.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience building credibility as a trusted advisor and Unified SASE vendor.
  • Familiarity with go-to-market strategies for secure access and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills for monitoring market trends and competitor activities.
  • Ability to effectively lead and execute sales strategies specific to the Japan market.
