Hands-on Workday delivery owner who ships finance outcomes on Workday Financials and connects Workday to the enterprise ecosystem using Workday Integrations.
Role and Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to CFO/Controller/Finance Ops—framing options, impacts, and trade offs in clear business terms lead executive level design decisions
Lead end to end functional architecture for Workday Financials, ensuring cohesive design across finance pillars and consideration of cross functional impacts
Facilitate design workshops / architect sessions, drive requirements, map processes, prototype configuration, and confirm designs with stakeholders.
Validate Workday integrations in Workday and support testing, cutover, and hypercare.
Ensure alignment with HCM, Payroll, Integrations, Reporting/Analytics, Data Conversion, and Change/Training workstreams maintain cohesive structures and communications.
Enable reporting and dashboards in Workday (and Prism Analytics where adopted).
Drive quality through reconciliation, controls validation, and production readiness.
Prerequisite — Agentic AI & GenAI
Implement Finance agents for close, AP/AR exception handling, spend compliance, and policy Q&A—connected to Workday Financials
Build RAG for Finance (controls, policies, contract clauses) with strict access boundaries integrate approvals and audit-ready evidence capture.
Drive end to end delivery of Workday s AI-powered solutions, including Workday AI Agents designed to automate tasks, surface insights, and interact autonomously with enterprise workflows.
Extend designs to adjacent processes (Procurement, Banking & Settlement etc. touchpoints) without breaking governance.

13+ years implementing Workday Financials with depth in Workday Financials.
Hands-on Workday Finance delivery working knowledge of Integrations and Analytics
Comfortable engaging finance stakeholders and driving decisions on scope and trade-offs.
Quality-first mindset for auditability and close readiness.
Workday HCM modules
Deep: Architects, designs, and governs enterprise Workday Financials solutions—spanning Core Financials and related pillars (e.g., Foundation Data Model (FDM), Accounting Center, Banking & Settlements, Budgets/Planning, Procurement, Customer Accounts, Assets, Grants/Projects, Reporting).
Breadth: Workday Integrations fundamentals (Studio/Core connectors/Payroll Connectors) Workday Security Cross-module touchpoints across the Workday modules.
