KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the Digital Marketing Manager entails leading the Digital team’s marketing efforts for Betway. The individual in this position will be responsible for leading the team in creating and executing digital strategies in collaboration with various internal and external teams.

The primary responsibility of this role involves strategizing, planning, executing, and tracking digital campaigns across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of metrics and business profitability and lead and manage the digital strategy for all digital touchpoints.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Digital Marketing:

  • Determine and influence the end-to-end digital marketing capabilities and strategy that aligns with the needs and goals of the business in each region.

  • Lead the implementation and refining of digital capabilities, such as media planning, buying and execution, across display & programmatic, app installs, paid search and social including data and analytics to support future business growth across both sport and non-sport verticals.

  • Working along senior stakeholders, digital team, and business units to establish best of breed approach to use the digital marketing technologies.

  • Work closely with the Head of Digital Marketing and business to ensure that marketing technology strategy aligns with the organisation’s broader digital strategy and efforts.

  • Proven track record of successful customer journey mapping and funnel management.

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Lead the analytics and reporting function in digital campaigns with a focus on optimization.

  • Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on insights.

  • Plan, control and manage budgets, spend forecasts, and spend reconciliations.

People Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high performing team of digital marketing professionals. (including recruitment, appraisals, and performance management)

  • Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure team members meet and exceed performance targets.

  • Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between members.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Marketing Degree or relevant qualification.

  • 5-8 years’ experience in the same or similar role.

  • Extensive experience in identifying and implementing marketing technologies to enable efficiencies within the different disciplines of programmatic & display, app install, paid search and social.

  • Experience in leading teams in a dynamic environment working with a wide range of stakeholders including line management, brand, and product with a diverse portfolio of responsibilities.

  • Proven ‘big picture’ analytical ability and involvement in strategic planning, business management & execution.

  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level and manage a high level of complexity.

  • Creativity combined with excellent business acumen, to identify or develop viable marketing strategies.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and work across business divisions.

  • Commercially-savvy

  • Deadline and target driven.
