We are looking for you to join our team in Mission Systems as a Manager Project Managment 1 based out of Linthicum, MD.

This is a Hybrid role

Job Description:

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

The Global Supply Chain Business Process Control Analysis Manager 1 will join the Mission Systems Sector Team as part of the GSC Business Operations Sector Organization, working to optimize process, data analytics, metrics and tools for the GSC functional organization across the Sector.

In this position, you will directly supervise a team of data and process control analysis specialists responsible for ensuring process controls, systems process flows and ensuring our operations is consistent with our PrOP and regulatory compliance. Acts as the key liaison to multiple level of leadership across the business—helping to translate business needs into requirements for your team to support decision-making and optimization. 

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Effectively recommends improvements and solutions for both data, process and tools—may lead independent efforts or deliver products in the context of another project.
  • Identifies new opportunities for leveraging process, business operations, analytics and results and/or optimizes existing process and data analytics and corresponding strategy.  This may include:
    • Process Flows, Playbooks, updates to PrOP, and work instructions for process controls and analytics.
    • Transforms raw data into actionable information using dashboards, charts and visualizations to promote decision making through data.
    • Benchmarking best practices with analytics and/or tools and making recommendations within the sector through the GSC functional working groups.
  • Leads the daily work of a team of data analysts (matrix and direct report; distributed locations) responsible for both the sustainment and development of a variety of analytics solutions.
  • Supports a wider community of process, business and data analysts and subject matter experts within functions in the Sector by providing guidance, recommendations, and expertise on GSC processes.
  • Stays up-to-date on new process, available tools and methods and acts as subject-matter-expert for applicability or implementation within the sector.
  • Provide research and analysis on industry best practices for GSC business operations.

Basic Qualifications for Manager Project Management 1:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience in Customer Service, Project Management roles, Data Analysis, Process development and deployment, Leadership roles such as training, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of experience in Customer Service, Project Management roles, Data Analysis, Process development and deployment, Leadership roles such as training, or a PhD and 1 year of the experience listed above
  • Awareness Experience streamlining business processes using technology, tools and automated workflows
  • Intermediate Experience with: Excel, Tableau and/or Power BI for data analytics, SharePoint, TEAMS, MS Project
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10-20% of the time


Preferred Qualifications for Manager Project Management 1:

  • DoD background in Space, Aerospace or Defense
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
  • Awareness of GSC PrOP 
  • Experience with Project Management principles and familiarity with concepts such as Integrated Management System

Salary Range: $102,400.00 - $153,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
