JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The purpose of this role is to develop, manage, coordinate, implement and communicate Benefits Programs to the Puerto Rico facilities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

List all major responsibilities of the position in order of importance and priority to the overall job. Describe the outcome that

must be produced in accomplishing the job.  Each supports the overall purpose of the job.

Effective development, coordination, implementation and communication of benefits programs to the Puerto Rico facilities. Responsible to maintain health plan trust financial backup data, prepare and communicate Benefits Plans Budget for PR Operations.  Prepare information materials including Benefits Bulletins, employee notices, others. Effective administration of benefits plans, including eligibility, enrollments, payments to insurance companies, cost control, and monitoring. Manage benefits plans and program in compliance with PR, federal laws, company policies and procedures. Compliance and maintenance of employee benefits records. Interface with insurance companies, serves as liaison with Abbott management and provide employee counseling on diverse benefits related situations. Develop, coordinate, and implement employee benefits communications programs, and provide employee counseling on diverse benefits related situations Decision making of diverse employee situations relative to benefits administration. Effective interaction with HR and Operations management, insurance companies, government agencies, employees and their dependents or beneficiaries. Provide reports to management on benefits performance against budget guidelines, including data analysis and recommendations. Prepare benefits proposals and budget guidelines. Conduct New Hire Orientation and employee orientation on particular benefits.

     

The base pay for this position is

$88,700.00 – $177,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
