We are looking for a Solutions Architect Intern to work with us to enable and accelerate AI research on the NVIDIA platform. Your playgrounds will be the world’s fastest AI supercomputers. Solutions Architects are the primary technical contacts for our customers and engage deeply with scientific researchers and application developers to drive the adoption of NVIDIA technology. We seek an individual that combines an intricate understanding of modern AI research workloads with expertise in accelerated computing and architecture.
The primary location for this position is Bologna, Italy.
What you will be doing:
Support interactions with end-users in academia on GenAI, develop a keen understanding of their goals and needs, support the SA team to define and deliver high-value solutions that meet these needs
Identify specific use cases and develop tailored recipes or playbooks to support state-of-the-art research with NVIDIA frameworks (e.g. accelerated data curation pipeline, or accelerated video data loading pipeline, etc.)
Work with the SA team towards massive scaling of AI trainings on HPC clusters, providing end-users example use-cases to follow Interact with end-users in academia and industry, develop a keen understanding of their goals and needs, define and deliver high-value solutions that meet these needs
What we need to see:
Pursuing a Ph.D. degree in a STEM related field
2-year work or research experience in High-Performance Computing or Deep Learning
Fluent in English both oral and written
Action oriented with strong analytical skills
Self-motivated, independent, ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day direction
Strong collaboration and social skills, ability to communicate effectively with customers
Experience with DL frameworks, multi-GPU computing, Generative AI
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Passion for accelerated computing
Experience with at least one among Large Language Models (LLM), Multimodal Language Models (MLM), Video Processing, Foundation Models (FM)
Experience with massive dataset preparation and pre-processing
Experience working with supercomputers at scale
Skilled at profiling, analyzing AI training runs
