Our love of exploration and technical expertise help us to provide our clients with invaluable insights. We source and make sense of the most relevant Geo-data for their needs, so they can design, build and operate their assets more safely, sustainably and efficiently. For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team.

The role

Fugro is dedicated to providing asset integrity solutions for offshore energy structures through data acquisition, processing, and analysis. The Structural Monitoring team is a centre of excellence, delivering global projects that enhance safety and manage risk. As a Senior Engineer, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of projects, including design, assembly, testing, site planning, data processing, and reporting, all while adhering to quality and QHSSE standards. This diverse role offers opportunities for skill development and meaningful contributions to the field.

Note that occasional travel, including international trips, may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute projects effectively.
  • Collaborate on project design, planning, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards.

Who we’re looking for:

  • BSc in Engineering, Science, or a related numerical field (e.g., Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Chemistry, or similar).
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Background in instrumentation, data analysis, or relevant scientific research.
  • Understanding of sensors and data acquisition is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or similar data processing tools, or a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in technical report writing.
  • Familiarity with health and safety protocols applicable to offshore energy work is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Personable with strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Curious, proactive, and adept at learning and retaining new information.

Why Join Us?

At Fugro, we believe in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for professional growth. Join us in making a difference in the offshore energy sector and contribute to a safer, more sustainable world.

To be the world’s leading Geo-data specialist, we need the strength in depth that comes from a diverse, driven team.

  • An environment where you can use your skills and actively contribute to project delivery but also innovation.
  • Career & training opportunities both nationally and internationally.
  • Competitive salary accompanied by an attractive package including contributory pension scheme, life assurance and private medical insurance.
  • Flexible working hours and, after 6 months, the potential to work 2 days a week from home in accordance with company hybrid working policies.
  • An externally provided Employee Assistance Program.
  • Benefits and discounts platform.
  • 24 days annual leave.
  • Option to buy up to 5 days annual leave.
