Principal Product Manager, Digital Identity – Last Mile Delivery

About the Team

The Last Mile Delivery team works to fulfil Walmart’s eComm customer demand by delivering conveniently to them in the comfort of their home. We want our customers to have every option available to shop for their needs: wherever, whenever, and however they want it. As the biggest player in the game, Walmart trusts our associates to innovate the future of shopping.

As the Principal Product Manager, Digital Identity for Last Mile Delivery, you will be responsible for our product vision, strategy, roadmap and execution for Digital Identity. You will ensure that as we onboard new delivery Spark Drivers, we establish verified identity to prevent fraud. You will focus on developing approaches that prevent account sharing when drivers deliver for our Walmart’s customers and those of our partners. Your approach will be to create a platform that strikes the right balance between identifying existing fraud and being ready for new threats, while not slowing down the growth pace of eComm deliveries.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • You’re well versed in fraud prevention strategies and are on top of the latest trends
  • You’re customer-centric in spirit and in execution
  • You’re able to use metrics and ML to improve performance
  • You’re excited about solving complex challenges
  • You have a strong bias for action, moving the team towards delivery complex products on time.
  • You’re comfortable influencing others, leading teams, managing stakeholders, and communicating clearly
  • You have knowledge in gig industry or fraud space

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Crafting a coherent product vision, multi-year strategy, and quarterly roadmap that your team and the business rallies behind.
  • Developing and enhancing products – you will manage product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer, driver and product data, turn insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks.
  • Conducting industry and competitive analysis to understand the trends in the fraud space and continuously evolve the platform.
  • Partnering with internal teams to create unique, compelling experiences that benefit drivers and customers alike.
  • Working with data science, engineering, and Walmart partners to define the data requirements, model inputs and optimization methodologies.
  • Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required/MBA a plus
  • 8+ years in product management or equivalent
  • Productor engineering background is preferred
  • Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize
  • Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, proven ability to influence others internally and externally
  • Experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products
