That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, the Staff Accountant supports the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting through month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. This role partners closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams to improve processes, support audits, and deliver reliable financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, including cash and general accruals

• Complete assigned month-end close responsibilities accurately and on schedule

• Research accounting variances, identify root causes, and recommend solutions

• Assist with the development and communication of new processes, tools, and workbooks

• Support internal and external audits, including quarterly reviews and annual audits

• Participate in process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives

• Respond to accounting inquiries and support special projects as needed

• Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information

The Specifics.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 

• 2-3 years’ overall experience in accounting. 

• Working Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 

• Intermediate Excel skills. 

Nice to Haves.

• Licensed CPA. 

• Accounting audit experience. 

• General Ledger experience.
