The Operational Risk Data Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness.

There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop data analytics capabilities for the group in a specific area
• Monitors goals and able to translate insights into business cases to aid decision making.
• Work to evidence potential lack of standardization and any deviation for metrics and controls.
• Independently assess data across lines of businesses, and drive actions to accomplish desired results.
• Develops and maintains tracking metrics, translating into visualization for management reporting and escalation.
• Regularly assess and optimize data set used to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.

Key Human Skills:

• 5+ years’ experience.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to think critically, use data translated into visuals to solve complex problems.
• Adaptability, able to work with ambiguity and change.
• Self-motivated.
• Curious nature

Technical Skills:

• Advanced data skills are required.
• Experience in operations a plus.
• Exposure to process improvement or continuous improvement.

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
