Job Description:

Summary: A Talent Acquisition Specialist contributes to the company's success by supporting the talent attraction, recruitment and university relations strategies. A Talent Acquisition Specialist will assist the Talent Manager with identifying hiring needs, manage full life cycle recruitment processes and boost our presence at key universities. They will be a key part to serve as a cultural gatekeeper while identifying, attracting and recruiting our future talent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support full cycle hiring activities globally, including recruitment strategy, creation of pipeline, job postings, resume screening, scheduling of candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating technical assessments, and extending offers.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs and provide an outstanding recruitment experience by serving as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers; communicating, monitoring, and facilitating progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

  • Support DEI initiatives aimed at fostering a diverse workforce.

  • Help build relationships with key universities in order to support company’s graduate program strategy

  • Serve as a company ambassador at recruitment fairs, university events, industry trade shows and other opportunities

  • Foster a culture of exceptional candidate experience, ensuring that all external and internal job applicants have the best candidate journey possible and receive timely updates.

  • Track and report metrics, with focus on process improvement and optimization, to measure performance of the recruiting strategy.

  • Assist in the development of new company policies or improving existing policies, in an articulate and concise manner

  • Produce and track any HR-related forms as they become necessary for use within the organization

  • Participate in special projects or other HR related assignments as required by the Company’s growth and new HR initiatives

  • Work with the HR leadership team to identify retention strategies and recommend opportunities for improved employee engagement

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in full life cycle recruitment, talent attraction strategies, and university relations.

  • High-volume recruiting experience of technical and professional level positions required

  • Experience interfacing with all levels of leadership and staff in a corporate environment

  • Experience with implementing creative sourcing strategies

  • Experience with recruiting metrics, reports and presenting information to drive hiring goals

  • Experience in the transportation infrastructure industry is a plus

  • Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws is preferred

  • Ability to interact with external parties and vendors with confidence and clarity as a representative of the organization

  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills

  • High level of initiative and comfort working autonomously

  • Must be able to multitask, problem solve, and implement innovative processes within a fast paced environment while ensuring accuracy in work product; strong focus on being detail oriented is a must.

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point and other PC based programs

  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS is preferred
