GOAT Group is looking for a Program Manager to join the People Operations and Technology team. We are looking for someone who thrives off operational efficiency, data integrity, and being exposed to a broad range of HR initiatives. This position encompasses administrative, analytical, process/project management and human resources responsibilities which covers a diverse scope having a meaningful impact on the company. The HR Program Manager reports directly to the Associate Director (AD) of Global People Operations & Technology and collaborates closely with team members within the APAC and US People team. 

 The ideal person is someone who is extremely detail-oriented, enjoys learning, taking on challenges, and wants a role that will continually evolve and expand as the company grows globally. This role will support HR affairs across APAC for Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Japan as well as other countries as needed. 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the AD of People Operations & Technology and partner teams to manage projects from discovery and design through completion. This will include crafting the strategy, developing the implementation plans, and coordinating project related activities.
  • Support in managing projects which includes requirements gathering, status tracking, etc. and communicating actions and next steps
  • Evaluate current pain points and make process recommendations to internal partners as well as drive implementation of process changes across the APAC people team.
  • Support ongoing special projects and programs, such as systems implementations, case management, knowledge database, HR system updates, etc.
  • Audit data housed in the HRIS system to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
  • Research international statutory and customary practices regarding leaves, allowances, best practices, etc. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation, guides, and decks based on country specific laws and regulations.
  • Complete periodic and regular audits ensuring time and attendance profiles and time off requests are set up accurately.
  • As needed, assist with day-to-day APAC HR inquiries and provide support on the entire employee lifecycle e.g. onboarding, employee status changes, and offboarding, including maintaining compliance throughout all these key transition phases
  • Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

We are looking for:

  • A bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in business operations, HR operations, (HR) strategy, operations management, process improvement or similar areas
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication proficiency in English and Mandarin.
  • Flexibility in availability to accommodate PST timezone meetings when needed. 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in APAC.
  • Proven project/process management experience: from recommending and implementing global continuous process improvements to serving as a key liaison with external partners and internal clients to document, approve, and implement changes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize.
  • Experience using MS Office, Excel, Google Sheets, and Google docs.
  • Basic knowledge of local compliance regulations and laws in China and Hong Kong
