The Opportunity:


CACI is currently looking for a Naval Systems Engineer to provide System Engineering support to the NAVSEA 05/PEO USC PMS420 Mission Module programs Ship Design Manager (SDM) in Washington, D.C.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide Requirements verification and certification support.

  • Coordinate with multiple Lead Systems Engineers and Technical Warrant Holders to collect and evaluate Objective Quality Evidence provided by the Mission Modules to ensure requirements are fully met.

  • Track Requirement Change Requests (RCR), ensure the automated RCR process is updated and manually route RCRs when necessary.

  • Develop RCR SOP addressing contents, review, and signature authority for RCRs.

  • Track technical and certification issues and coordinate Action Items required to resolve them.

  • Researches technical issues and provides recommendations to SDM and the SDM team as needed.

  • Demonstrated history of self-motivated and independent work.


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • 5+ years or more of experience in Systems Engineering.

  • Secret clearance.

  • Good interpersonal skills to work with project teams, technical leads, and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work alone on individual projects with supervision and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.

  • Proficient in MS Office 365 suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, and a background in working with multidisciplinary teams. 


Desired:

  • Experience supporting a Navy Systems Command Program Office, including NAVWAR, NAVSEA, NAVAIR or a Ship Design Manager.

  • Experience with DoD or Navy configuration management procedures and regulations.

  • MA or MS degree.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management Level III certification.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$85,800 - $180,200
