This is a remote-first contractor role that can be based in the United States or Canada.

Contractors working with our Legal Operations team help ensure that the demand letters (legal documents with accompanying exhibits that illustrate an injured party's economic and non-economic damages resulting from a personal injury incident) we deliver to our clients are accurate, effective, and high-quality. Our Legal Operations team is on the front lines of our mission to ensure that personal injury victims receive the compensation they're entitled to, and our contractor team plays a vital role in this process. 

What you will do:

• Work with our proprietary software online portal to review medical documentation, write concise and detailed treatment summaries, organize damages, establish treatment timelines, and conduct legal research to draft compelling demand letters

• Collaborate with our Legal Operations team on any final edits or additions to draft demand letters submitted to EvenUp

What we look for: 

• Strong persuasive writing skills and attention to detail, and the ability to organize, prioritize, and collaborate with reviewers

• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with the ability to swiftly pick up new processes and software

• Knowledge of personal injury law, medical summaries, or copywriting/editing experience is a plus

• Someone with at least 4-8 hours to dedicate on average, per week (more is ok too!)

• Can start in August and participate in 1-2 days of training

Our contractors are paid a fixed stipend for time spent training and then on a per unit basis. Contractors are eligible for a discretionary bonus.
