At FIS we are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Solution Consultant (Pre-Sales) who can successfully design and deliver key messages about the FIS Capital Market and Collateral solution set via presentation and product demonstrations. Our business model has the salesperson making initial contact and managing the relationship plus sales activities with the client. The Pre-Sales consultant is responsible for demonstrating FIS Treasury or payments solutions to the client. This includes a full functional knowledge of the software and how the various calculations are run within the software. In client presentations, this person would be demonstrating functional use of Front Arena, explaining the methodologies behind that and working with the sales person to engage the client, understand the problems with their current workflow and suggest how FIS’s systems can successfully meet their needs. This is an individual contributor role, reporting direct to the Head of Pre-Sales of solutions APAC.
What you will be doing
Plays an integral role in the sales process utilizing knowledge of FIS solution(s), financial product, and financial markets to assist sales executives in addressing client/prospect requirements.
Develops appropriate product solutions to meet client/prospect business requirements.
Drives solution assurance process on behalf of sales executives to obtain client/prospect requirements, identifies and prioritizes functionality gaps with sales representatives and clients/prospects, initiates request-source process to obtain estimates to address functionality gaps or define appropriate workarounds and gathers all necessary information for internal suppliers to commit to performing the conversion
Drives commitment process on behalf of sales executives to obtain internal commitment to perform work defined in solution assurance documents.
Maintains detailed notes in enterprise contact management system to assist in bringing sales opportunities to closure.
Provides input to appropriate sections of requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for information (RFI).
Conducts workshops for requirements scoping or proof-of-concept
Sets up and delivers product presentations/demonstrations to clients/prospects either in person or via web-based tools.
Creates and maintains product presentations.
Participates in business requirements review with clients/prospects.
Participates in product release process.
Provides feedback on client/prospect requirements to FIS product managers on regularly scheduled basis.
What you Bring
At least 7 years of experience working in a capital market business or technology area
Understanding of capital market products, collateral processing and post-trade operations across the financial services industry
In-depth knowledge of post trade operations (Confirmation, Settlement, Accounting) and collateral processing (trading book)
Understanding of the entire sales cycle, from market research through contract signing
Analytical and consultative approach to client engagements
Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team
Ability to organise, prioritise, and multi-task
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding presentation abilities
Desirable:
Experience of working with SQL Databases
Prior experience working within a software company as a Pre-Sales in capital market and payment space
Supported Asia Pacific and Middle East Africa sales organization
Perform discovery calls and meetings
Perform sales presentations and deliver solution demonstrations
Build customized demonstrations and POC as an aid to the sales process
Provide coverage at annual trade shows and customer events
Provide project handover to Professional Services where relevant
To provide business and technical expertise in the Pre-Sales process
Identify and qualify customers’ business and functional requirements in order to obtain initial project estimates
Identify solution gaps after gathering customers’ requirements and communicate back to Product team
Respond to RFI’s / RFP / customer queries in a timely and professional manner
Clearly articulate the benefits and value proposition of the FIS solution set
Build customer relationships by providing business and solution expertise
To become an integrated part of the global Pre-Sales organization
Align with and support the other regional Pre-Sales teams
Help build and maintain global Pre-Sales processes, supporting documentation and collateral
Develop new business opportunities across FIS Segments
Interface with the Product Management, PS, Support and Development organizations
To become a market expert
Be aware of industry trends, drivers and regulatory initiatives
Understand the competitive offerings and their differentiators in the market
Read trade and industry journals to keep abreast of industry thoughts and initiatives
Work with Marketing, Product Strategy and other FIS Segments to identify and research new market verticals and opportunities
