Job Description:

The Field Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for recruiting top talent for various RaceTrac store positions, as well as ensuring RaceTrac is fostering an employee-friendly environment. This individual follows the recruiting and hiring process that includes proactively sourcing, screening, interviewing, networking, and offering. This individual consistently utilizes their networks to leverage talent and maintains creativity in the recruiting process. Up to 75% travel required within assigned region.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruits and staffs top talent for the retail locations in the designated Region
  • Communicates with Operation Supervisors and General Managers regularly regarding their staffing needs
  • Focuses on sourcing and proactively recruiting top talent
  • Monitors ATS and HIRE recommendations and reviews HIRE candidate applications
  • Supports the full talent acquisition lifecycle performing the following duties: sourcing, screening, interviewing, networking, analysis, background reviews, and offers
  • Screens talent and facilitates virtual and in-person interview process while providing a positive guest experience
  • Follows up on interviews in a timely manner and creates and communicates candidate offers
  • Works with General Managers setting up Realistic Job Previews for potential candidates
  • Provides direction and education to General Manager as it relates to the hiring process and their involvement
  • Exceptional recruiting business acumen and the ability to leverage strong relationships with colleagues, candidates, and clients
  • Communication and engagement with candidates to create new leads and openings through various methods including cold calling
  • Evaluate and understand candidate skills and abilities relative to meet expectations and experience level
  • Send communication to all applicants, following position selection
  • Responsible for reviewing all pre-employment paperwork for accuracy
  • Communicates with candidates and ensures all orientation and training logistics are reviewed
  • Responsible for updating and submitting a weekly recruitment report
  • Weekly, monthly, and quarterly evaluation of hiring + retention metrics; proactively communicates results and action needed to stakeholders
  • Understands RaceTrac’s Key Business Objectives and field initiatives
  • Budgets and forecasts resources and funds for recruitment needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years experience in a retail or related field preferred
  • Experience managing or supervising staff within the retail industry preferred
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel preferred
