Position: Senior Software Engineer
Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Responsible for Full-stack, Back-end focused software system development such as Payment and Fulfillment Systems. Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle, including requirement and scoping analysis, solution design, coding, testing, program monitoring, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, and defect management. Participate in medium to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions and gathering necessary information. Participate in the discovery phase to create high level designs by working closely with the technical lead, product management, business and cross-functional teams; Driving proof-of-concept and implementing prototypes to validate ideas. Write and develop well-designed, efficient code with automation testing. Troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes. Ensure on-time delivery. Demonstrate full responsibility for design and development tasks, high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Collaborate with and execute major cross-platform executions as a team, or independently when needed. Monitor the health of web applications, collaborate cross-functionally with partner teams. Share and apply domain expertise within and across teams. Coach the development team in self-organization. Facilitate Scrum events on request or as required, responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping team understand Scrum theory, practices, rules and values if acting as Scrum Master.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area.
Skills required: Experience designing and developing web applications, Micro services, Rest APIs for sensitive data using Spring Boot frameworks, Object Oriented design and coding in Java. Experience developing publisher/subscriber systems using Kafka event driven architecture. Experience integrating frontend UIs and backend service APIs using JavaScript. Experience working on CI/CD pipeline building, fixing code smells, security vulnerabilities to continuously integrate and deploy services using Git, SonarQube, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker. Experience implementing test-driven strategy in development with Unit and integration testing using Junit TestNG, Mockito, and Sprint Boot frameworks. Experience profiling, testing and improving service performance and modularity using JMeter, Redis and Aspect-oriented programming. Experience integrating with Relational Database systems for data storage in Java applications using Oracle, writing and tunning SQL queries. Experience triaging, monitoring, troubleshooting and fixing defects, production issues from both functional and performance angles using ServiceNow, Splunk, and Grafana. Experience using Agile methodology to facilitate scrum events with Jira. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
