Job Description

What You'll Champion:

  • Assist in the design and development of user-centered interfaces and interactions for web and mobile applications
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and efficiently
  • Continuously improve design skills and stay current with industry trends and best practices
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and design critiques
  • Mentored by an experienced UI/UX designer
  • Contribute to the improvement of design processes and guidelines
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to apply them in practice
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Figjam, Miro etc.
  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools
  • Knowledge of responsive design and ability to design for different screen sizes and device types
  • Understanding of web and mobile design guidelines and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions
  • Experience with usability testing and user research methods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates a variety of design projects and problem-solving approach
  • Strong time management and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong ability to learn new tools and technologies

Additional Requirements:

  • Currently undertaking a degree in Graphic/Web or User Design, Arts or software engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in all things design, passionate for building delightful mobile and web users experiences (UI/UX).
  • Basic knowledge in product design tools such as Figma, Figjam, Miro and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
