What will you be doing?

  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including those issued by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and other regulatory bodies.

  • Market Surveillance: Utilize monitoring tools and data analytics to oversee trading activities and detect potential market manipulation or fraudulent behavior.

  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess compliance risks within the organization, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

  • Policy Development: Assist in the creation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into potential compliance breaches or suspicious activities, preparing detailed reports on findings.

  • Training and Education: Help develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees to ensure understanding of regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular compliance reports for management and regulatory agencies as required, summarizing key findings and recommendations.

  • Technology Enhancement: Collaborate with the technology team to improve compliance monitoring systems and tools.

What we need from you?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as FINRA Series 3, 7 or 24 are a plus.

  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field within the financial industry.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations, particularly those related to derivatives markets and CFTC requirements.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data sets and identify patterns or anomalies.

  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python and SQL. Familiarity with compliance and surveillance software is a plus.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Ethical Standards: High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical conduct in all aspects of work.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment and adapt to changing compliance requirements.

  • Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
