We’re a globally distributed team that embraces the culture of remote working from many locations around the globe.  We use Slack to stay connected and we move fast by building our products using Agile Scrum. 

The Cloud Architect role will deliver front-end and back-end software for our cloud-based data analytics software products, Subterra.   The developer will develop software using a number of languages, including C++, C#, NodeJs/Typescript, ReactJS, Python and Java.  Considerable knowledge of and experience with cloud based platforms is a must.  The role will consist of 60% coding, 20% code reviews and 20% Devops on Amazon AWS.   

Primary Duties:

  • Work with the Subterra product manager to develop features
  • Work with a team that includes backend and frontend developers, AI/ML experts and QA analysts to create compelling software products for our customers.
  • Participate in all aspects of software development: from estimating to scheduling, to implementation and then release.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in computer science, computer engineering or other related technical degree
  • 10+ years of experience with one or more of these languages: C#, Python, C++, Java, or NodeJS or ReactJS
  • 5+ years of experience developing APIs for stand-alone or cloud-based applications
  • 2+ years of cloud platform experience in one or more of these areas: infrastructure utilization, provider roadmap and business roadmap alignment, application security, noSQL databases, message bus implementation
  • 5+ years of experience with browser based cloud applications or a demonstrated experience that will allow a quick ramp to cloud application deployment
  • 5+ years of experience developing applications which interface to one or more of these databases:  Oracle, SQL Server, PostGres, MySql
  • 5+ years of experience working in Agile teams using Scrum

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with a second object oriented language: C#, Python, or Java
  • 5+ years of experience with MS Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud
