The 340B Architect Product Owner (PO) will have responsibility providing direction to the product delivery team by maintaining a prioritized product backlog which aligns with the product strategy/vision of Macro HelixThe Product Owner will have responsibility for leveraging a cross functional team and internal and external stakeholders to identify customer challenges and business problems requiring new and innovative solutionsIn this role, the Product Owner will work closely with delivery teams and provide critical direction regarding customer needs, enhancement prioritization, and release themes. 

The PO leads the efforts of his/her teams based upon the strategic relevance and value defined for the customerThe PO is responsible for tactical discipline by ensuring feature requirements are well defined, user stories are properly written and prioritized so they may be consumed by their teamsThis prioritization must be established based upon the overall strategy of the business and the value for the customerThe Product Owner is the final authority on acceptance of delivered functionality against user stories and makes the final decision regarding the completeness of delivered softwarePOs must have excellent communication skills with the ability to provide insights and leadership at many levels within the organization, both upward to executive level leaders and downward within their teams. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and communicating the product vision as defined by the Product Manager 

  • Working with internal and external customers and end users to define features that address customer business needs and return maximum value for all parties 

  • Work closely with the Product Manager to refine and prioritize the backlog of features and user stories 

  • Collaborate with UX designer to review user journeys and any applicable wireframes 

  • Communicating business and customer value to the team in a manner that sparks curiosity and innovative thought 

  • Writing and capturing user stories that communicate the product initiatives and requirements 

  • Accepting/rejecting the delivered functionality within each Sprint 

  • Working closely with customers to facilitate acceptance testing of releases (during pilots) 

  • Making ongoing decisions regarding direction of the product/features 

  • Making the final decision whether to release product to customers 

  • Often contributes as a team member performing other roles within the team, as needed 

  • Responsible for leading and communicating strategies, tactics and goals during Scrum ceremonies 

  • Openly and candidly communicates project and portfolio changes to stakeholders 

  • Display a high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existing products.  

  • Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including: IT, Sales, Marketing, Implementation, & Support.  

  • Monitor internal processes for efficiency and validity pre- & post product launch/changes.  

  • Participate in opportunities to develop both personally and professionally.  

 

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

4-year degree in computer science, product management, related field or equivalent experience 

Critical Skills  

  • 2+ years experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or related role in an Agile environment 

  • 4+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology.  

 

Additional Skills  

  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry 340B retail pharmacy and/or 340B hospital pharmacy is highly preferred 
  • 340B Architect product knowledge preferred 
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)  
  • Advanced spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills: business cases, margin and cash flow analysis  
  • Ability to exercise tact and good interpersonal skills  
  • Group facilitation skills  
  • Time management skills  
  • Familiarity with User Experience concepts  
  • Analytical skills  
  • Problem solving skills  
  • Ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$94,500 - $157,500
