The Opportunity
This position works out of our Santa Clara, CA location in the Structural Heart division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
The Associate Product Manager will report to the Director of US Marketing Structural Heart and will have primary marketing and budget responsibility for designated products.
In this core Marketing role, the Associate PM will drive and be held accountable to deliver Sales, Margin, and PEx goals for designated products.
The Associate Product Manager will be expected to be responsive and able to directly address questions and requests of senior management including the SH DVP.
What You’ll Work On
Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions on, for example, acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets.
Analyze the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization’s business objectives.
Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization’s short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position.
Data analyzed may include revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain worldwide market expertise for MitraClip and relative Structural Heart technologies, including in-depth knowledge of US competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs.
Develop and create best in market product messaging and collaborate with global marketing and field team to market test messaging feasibility.
Develop strategies to address product performance issues.
Support and learn how to develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or other situation assessment. Gains exposure to market research data and comprehends the difference between qualitative and quantitative research.
Support and learn from PM team to create and develop US specific strategies for new product launches.
Support launch readiness by developing product inventory timing, marketing programs, and working with communications manager to develop promotional collateral.
Take a support role on project teams to work closely with the project manager to drive accountability and team achievement of goals and milestones.
Support the management creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new US materials.
Partner with regulatory colleagues in the review and negotiation of materials to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and compliance.
Develop plan & update US forecasts and justification for respective product lines worldwide and present to BU senior management.
Work with clinical team to develop and drive strategic publication initiatives within the US.
Required Qualifications
Education: B.S., Marketing, Business or Science.
Job requires substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills.
Looking for a self-starter, proactive by nature, interested in breaking the status quo, and innately curious
Strong story telling skills to captivate and influence audiences.
Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a "new" product launch.
Requires strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to understand technical and scientific information. · Must be willing to understand and comply with Regulatory requirements.
Must be able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product sales.
Must be able to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
Travel required 20-30% of the time

The base pay for this position is
$83,600.00 – $167,200.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
